Fresno Equipment Company was established selling both John Deere and Caterpillar equipment. In time, however, the company evolved into Central California’s leading agricultural equipment provider by adapting to changes in farming practices. As a result, we gradually shifted our focus toward orchard and vineyard equipment to better serve the region’s needs.

Throughout its history, Fresno Equipment Co. has consistently upheld a tradition of integrity and community support. Today, we continue that legacy by proudly and diligently serving the agricultural community with dedication and pride.

Founding and Early Years (1961 - 1967) providing Central California Agriculture Equipment

Fresno Equipment Company, serves the central California agriculture equipment needs. Established in 1961. It had three locations: Fresno, Five Points, and Firebaugh. Co-founded Mark Vucovich, who was previously the General Sales Manager for Pringle Tractor Co. in Salinas. The three stores replaced an existing location in Downtown Fresno that sold both John Deere and Caterpillar equipment. A few years after founding, Mark purchased the remainder of the shares and became the sole owner.

Continued Growth and Community Relations (1980 - 2010)

Mark Vucovich's business acumen formed strong ties with his customers. The business transferred to his children after his passing in 1980.

The Fresno location relocated to its current site on Bagley Avenue in 1998. During the 1990s and 2000s, Fresno Equipment Company adapted to changes in agricultural practices. From our focus has shifted somewhat from Central California Agriculture Equipment to more focus on orchard and vineyard equipment.

Recognition and Ownership Changes (2010 - Present)

The Baker, Peterson & Franklin Agriculture Business of the Year was presented to Fresno Equipment Company in 2010. That same year, Marsha Vucovich acquired her brother’s shares, becoming the sole owner. Marsha's son, Reid Pinion, joined the business in 2014; bringing legal expertise. Furthermore he has served in various roles before becoming CFO and Operations Manager.

Central California agricultural equipment needs have significantly grown. Since 2010 Fresno Equipment Company has taken on more orchard and vineyard specialty equipment vendors. It has expanded precision agriculture department.

Current Leadership and Vision

Fresno Equipment Company’s daily operations in providing central California agricultural equipment are led by Joseph Ayerza. Joseph Ayerza, as General Manager he is joined by Jimmy Perry as Sales Manager. The company remains committed to its roots as a family-owned business, emphasizing personalized service and enduring relationships with customers.
